What do ya think of this one now? Pretty different than the black and white version, eh? More fan art for
I got the inspiration for this one from the box art for the game Max Payne...anyone who's seen it will be familiar with the stark contrast of the black and white--but I added red here since it looks stylish and Vampires = Blood.
I love it. One teeeny thing (and this is teeny) maybe a little greyscale shading on the coat to give it more depth? (That is unless you were trying to keep it just black, white and red--so in that case tell me to shaddup)...

Yeah, I know what you mean--it would have more depth if I used greyscale shading, but instead I went for a starker look more akin to the game box...though I've also considered trying an alternate version just to see how it'd look. (I'm trying to learn about shading.)

*lol* I found out how to do that effect by accident on the GIMP and then I just had to use it for something--and a VPX cover seemed to be the perfect thing! I loved drawing these, they were a lot of fun--I'm pleased to take part in your contest.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.

This one was my favorite. It was the most stylish in my opinion. And the glowing eye kicks seven kind of ass.
