BOTH of my sisters have unique detective characters--one is a hunchbacked hardboiled fellow, the other is a silent penguin who, as far as I know, never says a word but has a gentleman with an eye-patch to do the talking for him. I think they coexist in the same universe, since they've done collabs together.
(Now all I gotta do is come up with my OWN quirky 'tec and we'll write bizarre-o mysteries together.)
