Never Again To Town Will I Go

O I went to town one morning fair,    
And bright was the sky and sun;
But lo and behold when I got there    
Loud and raucous was the fun!   
                                                                   
And when I arrived we had a ball,      
A wondrous party light and grand;
But a day spent in fun for one and all     
Oft times can quickly fall out of hand!
                                                                 
So hey hi and blow me down!                    
Never again will I go to town!   
                                                            
It started out with singing gay,    
And went on to dancing bright;     
But as long ere wore the day,        
A fight began and lasted thru the night!

No one knows who started it,
And in the end it doesn’t matter;  
For each and all were equally hit      
And I scored a lump with a platter!       

So hey hi and blow me down!
Never again will I go to town!
