Chameleon Kid and the Pear

My grandparents always had these two pear trees...They're not the sort of pears you see in the store though! These are what we know as "pickling pears." (Yes, they CAN be pickled.) *I've never tried them that way*

My mom planted some trees once...and now, like ten years later or so--they finally have pears of their own! It's cool. (They make a damn good pear cream pie, let me tell you.)

Our pears are still rather small and hard, but over at my grandparents place they're getting ripe! (I know, because I had a couple yesterday.)
